General Discussion
I enjoyed the Podcast enormously. The fact that your brain, something that can be trained, plays such a key role in our experience of pain is fascinating.
I tore my quadricep last year and have been SUPER diligent with my rehab. I was very careful to jot re-injure or worsen the tear.
Early in January I slipped and fell and the stiffness after the fall sent me down the rabbithole of dispair and all the stretching and hot packs in the world, didn't make it feel better or set my mind at ease.
I decided to go for a high resolution ultrasound to see if there was tissue damage.
The scan was clean. No scar tissue. Nothing. The moment I saw the scan, my brain literally rebooted and started sending other happier messages to the rest of me. My leg was fine 2 days later.
This proves that your brain is key to our physical experience and also that I am an actual, certifiable nutcase. 😉
